Classic Guacamole
Good Morning! Happy Cinco de Mayo! I have plans to whip up some tacos with all the fixings for dinner tonight to celebrate! My favorite taco topping is guacamole, so I decided today was the perfect day for me to share my Classic Guacamole recipe with you!
Guacamole is one of my favorite things to make. I make it pretty much whenever we have guests over and probably once a week during the summer. It is so refreshing and always a crowd pleaser. I don’t think there is anything really special about my recipe or how I make it, but I always have people asking me for the recipe so it must be a good one!
I got this molcajete from Crate & Barrel as a gift at my bridal shower and I am obsessed with it. It makes guacamole making even more fun and easy and also makes for an appetizing serving presentation π
You can really adapt the recipe however you like to fit your taste. For example, over the winter I improvised by substituting the tomatoes for grapefruit #grapefruitlover. But the main things that I would never leave out of a batch of guac (aside from the avocados, duh) is the lime juice and the cumin. In my opinion, those 2 ingredients are what define it as guacamole and give it that classic guac flavor.
