Peeking into my February Birch Box!
How cute is this box!? I find myself looking forward to the packaging of my Birch Box just as much as it’s contents, hehe! Below I am reviewing the products in my February box in order of my preference.
COOLA – Face SPF 30 Unscented Matte Tint
I’m starting with this one because I just don’t really have much to say about it. I only put it on a handful of times because I prefer to use powder foundations. I liked that it was unscented, I didn’t really notice I had it on at all. I do also like that it has sunscreen in it. Over time I think all make up will have sunscreen in it, which is great for people like me that are really bad about wearing sunscreen.
TOCCA – Eau de Parfum, Emelia
I don’t own any perfume and only wear it if I borrow it from a friend or my mom. The main reason I don’t wear it is because I usually find it overwhelming and smelling the same scent all day long gives me a headache. This perfume had a surprisingly light and fresh scent that did not bother me. I found myself splashing a little on here and there.
ARROW BOOST – Color Enhancing Lip Balm
So, I have this theory about lip balm, I think it dries out your lips so you keep putting on more and more lip balm… I’ve shared this theory with many people, but few share my opinion – so, what do I know?… As you might have guessed, like perfume, I don’t wear a lot of lip balm. In my opinion, this lip balm, (like other lip balms) makes my lips feel more dried out than before I put it on. BUT, I love the color it gives them. It does this cool thing where is adjusts to your body’s pH and enhances your natural lip color! I’m not a scientist, so I don’t really get how it works, but it’s pretty cool!
12 BENEFITS – Instant Healthy Hair Treatment
I was excited to try this sample because of how much I loved the Beauty Protector – Protect & Detangle from my first Birch Box. It did not smell as good as the Beauty Protector and did not noticeably enhance my hair. But I have still been using it every day when I get out of the shower because it works great as a detangler. The bottle says that it works best on dry, parched hair that has been subject to chemical processing and heat styling. Since I don’t dye my hair and I only blow dry/straighten it a few times a week, my hair is not the prime candidate for the product.
HEY HONEY – Take It Off Exfoliating Honey Peel Off Mask
I LOVED this! It is not gritty like a typical face mask. It’s clear, sticky (because of the honey), light and goes on easily. You do have to leave it on for the full 20 minutes for it to dry completely so you can easily remove it. But, it does not burn or irate the skin, so leaving it on for 20 minutes wasn’t an issue. My face felt so, SO soft after using it. I wish I could take a bath in it!
Have a Happy Monday 🙂
