I am very excited this morning because I am off to meet 8 of my best girl friends in Scottsdale, AZ for my Bachelorette Party! We will be spending the long weekend exploring Old Town Scottsdale and the surrounding area. I can’t wait!

But first, some highlights from my Tuesday: 

This morning Sandra and I served Banana Whips at SoleCycle in Georgetown after the 7am class. Banana Whips are Nicecream’s vegan, dairy-free option made from only bananas and agave syrup. We mix them up and freeze them with liquid nitrogen the same way we do the ice cream. It makes for a great breakfast, especially if you top it with some granola or cinnamon!

SoulCycle is a unique cycle experience. It is a 45 minute ride that focuses on giving you a full body workout, while having fun!  These types of cycle studios seem to be popping up all over the place and are very popular. SoulCycle recently expanded to the DC area and the Georgetown location opened just a few months ago. Nicecream traded them Banana Whips for a free ride for our team. We got a chance to ride this past Sunday morning. I have taken a lot of spinning classes in the past, but this was unlike any I have experienced before. Although I felt pretty uncorridinated for most of the class, I do appreciate that they incorporate upper body and core work to enhance your workout. I am sure if I was a regular I would get the hang of the coordination aspect. It was really a lot of fun and I was so happy to have the opportunity to try it out. But at $34 per class it is out of my workout budget 🙁

I was happy to be able to get in a (free) run after we got back to the shop in Arlington before the rain started coming down too hard. I love running in Arlington. It is a lot more interesting a place to run than where I live now, so I try to sneak in at least 1 run per week there 🙂

Walter and I had a mini date night. We went to our favorite little pho place up the street. Instead of the traditional pho I normally get, I opted for a shrimp & pork soup. I did not regret my decision, it was super flavorful! We love this place because everything is delicious, the food comes out quickly, and it is cheap!
