A Few of My Favorite Things – Winter Edition
Can you believe today is the last day of January already!? I sure can’t! I think the mild winter weather is making time tick by even faster than usual. Today I am sharing some of the things I have been loving this January ๐
Mizuno Women’s Wave Sayonara 3
I got these new sneaks at the end of December and I have been loving running in them this month. Not only does the bright color combo make me smile, they are also light and I have had no comfort issues. I am a Mizuno girl through and through. I have been running exclusively in Mizunos for almost 5 years now and I don’t plan on turning back! These Wave Sayonara 3s and the Wave Inspire 11s have been my favorites to date. You can read more about my love for Mizunos here!
Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Honey Mints
These are a new to me Trader Joe’s treat! If you haven’t caught on by now, I love all things honey, so when I saw these in the checkout aisle I had to grab a bag! They are like a York Peppermint Pattie minus a little mint + a little honey and the dark chocolate coating is the perfect compliment. Love, Love, Love!
Water bottles are all the rage because hydration has become a hot health topic. I got this Hydro Flask (size: 21oz, color: mint) as a Christmas present and it has been helping me with my resolution to drink more water! It’s actually pretty amazing. One of the reasons I was rarely carrying a water bottle in the past was because I like my water cold and when you fill a standard water bottle with ice, as the ice melts the water bottle gets coated in condensation and your stuff gets all wet! Don’t you hate that!? That does not happen at ALL with a Hydro Flask making it easy to carry with me at all times. It also stays cold forever – literally. It takes days for the ice to melt making it easy to fill and re-fill throughout the day to continue to have cold water on hand!
Bean Boots, Duck Boots, whatever you want to call them, they have been around longer than I have, but they have become super popular again in recent years. Either last year or the year before they were on back order for months around the holidays because everyone had to have them. This year I finally jumped on the Bean Boot train (thanks Mom ๐ ) and I’m so happy I did! They make rain so much more tolerable, now when I see rain in the forecast, I think “oh well, at least I get to wear my Bean Boots”. Aside from fashionable, they are also really comfortable and pretty practical. My feet stay dry and happy and I love dressing them up with high socks!
During the winter, if you pass me on the street, 95% of the time I will be wearing a vest and a scarf and you have a 50/50 shot I will be wearing plaid in some form. So much to the point that my friends think it’s some sort of special occasion if I’m not dressed this way (HELLO – nerd alert!). Last year I was all about the infinity scarves, but this year it’s plaid blanket scarfs. They are enormous, which makes them both warm and versatile. I’m pretty sure every 20-something I know already has the above scarf – same pattern and all – but if you want it I got it here!
